Project Role Description: We are seeking an experienced Data Platform Architect to design, modernize, and govern large-scale on-premises, cloud, and hybrid data platforms. The role demands strong architectural leadership and hands-on expertise across open-source big data technologies, cloud data platforms, governance, and advanced analytics, enabling data-driven decision-making at enterprise scale.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect end-to-end data platforms covering ingestion, processing, storage, analytics, governance, and consumption.
• Lead platform modernization and on-prem to cloud migration initiatives.
• Design solutions for batch, streaming, and real-time analytics use cases.
• Design solutions for batch, streaming, and real-time analytics use cases.
• Act as a technical leader and mentor for architects and engineering teams.
• Collaborate with business, analytics, and leadership teams to align data platforms with business outcomes.

Technical Skills:

• Data Platforms (On-Prem & Open Source): Cloudera Data Platform, Apache Impala, Hive, Druid, Kafka, Spark Streaming, Flink and similar real-time technologies.
• Cloud Data Platforms:
• Azure: Synapse Analytics, Microsoft Fabric, Data Factory, OneLake
• AWS: Glue, Athena, Redshift, EMR, S3
• GCP: BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Cloud Storage
• Programming & Frameworks: Python, Node.js, Java; working knowledge of React for data applications and dashboards.
• Databases & Storage: SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL; data lakes, warehouses, and lakehouse architectures with strong SQL and performance tuning expertise.
• Data Governance & Security: Microsoft Purview, metadata management, lineage, data quality, IAM, encryption, masking, and compliance controls.
• Data Science & Advanced Analytics: Experience supporting predictive modeling, predictive maintenance, forecasting, anomaly detection, and ML-enabled data platforms.
• DevOps & Platform Engineering: CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, automation, monitoring, and production operations.

Qualification:

• 10–15 years of experience in data platforms, analytics, and architecture roles.
• Proven experience designing and scaling enterprise-grade data ecosystems.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in large enterprises or consulting-led transformation programs.

Prefered Qualifications:

• Cloud certifications (Azure / AWS / GCP).
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric lakehouse architecture.
• Exposure to AI/ML platforms and MLOps.
