Job Description

Project Role Description: We are looking for an experienced Project Manager with 5–10 years of experience in managing financial or accounting-related projects. The candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering finance-focused projects while managing cross-functional teams of 10–20 members. The role requires strong project governance, stakeholder management, risk management, and reporting skills to ensure timely and successful delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Execution

• Plan, manage, and deliver financial systems/projects involving areas such as accounting, taxation, compliance, and financial reporting.
• Define project scope, timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

Team Management

• Lead and manage a team of 10–20 members including business analysts, developers, and testers.
• Allocate work, track team performance, and ensure timely task completion.
• Facilitate team coordination and remove project roadblocks.

Project Governance & Reporting

• Prepare and maintain Weekly Status Reports (WSRs), project reports, and dashboards.
• Track project progress, deliverables, and dependencies.
• Conduct regular project review meetings with stakeholders.

Risk & Issue Management

• Maintain and update the Risk Register and proactively mitigate risks.
• Track and manage project issues, escalations, and resolution plans.
• Ensure proper documentation of all risks and mitigation strategies.

Stakeholder Management

• Manage communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Facilitate requirement discussions, progress updates, and escalation management.
• Ensure alignment between business teams and project teams.

Project Documentation & Governance

• Define and maintain RACI Matrix for project roles and responsibilities.
• Maintain project documentation including project plans, issue logs, risk registers, meeting minutes, and governance reports.
• Ensure adherence to project management best practices and standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Management, or related field.
• PMP Certification (Mandatory).
• 5–10 years of experience in project management.

Required Skills:

• Experience managing financial or accounting-related projects.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and governance frameworks.
• Experience handling teams of 10–20 members.
• Expertise in risk management, issue tracking, and stakeholder management.
• Experience preparing project reports, WSRs, and project dashboards.
• Strong communication, leadership, and coordination skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in ERP or financial systems implementation projects.
• Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project delivery models.
• Experience with project management tools such as Jira, MS Project, or similar tools.
